If your car has a web browser on the touchscreen, Turnmail works.
What you need
The Tesla web browser. Open it from the app launcher on the touchscreen.
An internet connection. Tesla's browser works over Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot on any car, and over the car's own mobile data with Premium Connectivity.
A supported email account: Outlook, Hotmail, Microsoft 365, Gmail or any IMAP mailbox.
Tesla software updates
Tesla’s software update 2026.26 made everything in the browser larger. Turnmail detects this on every model and corrects it automatically. If text still looks too big or small, change Settings → Display Size.
Phones and computers
Turnmail is a web app, so you can also sign in at app.turnmail.com on your phone or computer, which is handy for setting up accounts before you get in the car.
Having trouble on your car? Email support@turnmail.com with your model and year.
FAQ
Common questions
Does Turnmail work on Intel Atom Teslas?+
Yes. Turnmail runs in the Tesla browser rather than needing the AMD Ryzen computer, so it works on Intel Atom (MCU2) cars too.
Do I need Premium Connectivity?+
Tesla's browser works over Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot on any car, and over the car's own mobile data with Premium Connectivity.
Does it work on a phone, tablet or computer too?+
Yes. Turnmail is a web app, so you can also use it in any modern browser. It's designed first for the Tesla screen.
Does Turnmail work in other cars?+
Turnmail is designed and tested for Tesla's browser. It may work in other cars with a modern web browser, but we don't support them yet.
